Smile with Confidence laser teeth whitening is suitable for most but not for everyone we would not carry out this treatment if you are:

There are also certain prescribed medications that can interact with the process of the treatment however your general health will be discussed beforehand during the consultation where we will ask you about your medical history.
4. How long will the effects last?
After having laser teeth whitening your teeth should stay whiter for up to 18-24 months after the treatment, however this does depend on your lifestyle such as what you eat and drink and if you smoke and generally how you look after your teeth and your oral hygiene.
5. Is laser teeth whitening for me?
As you get older, your teeth can become darker naturally. This process is often increased by drinking tea, coffee, red wine or other food and drink with strong colourings. Another major cause is smoking, which can make your teeth appear yellowed. Tooth decay, fillings and tartar build-up can also contribute to discolouration.
If the nerves and blood vessels in teeth are damaged through decay or a knock, the tooth may become darker.
Some types of staining can be caused by diseases or medicines. For example, if a type of antibiotic called tetracycline is given to children whose teeth are still developing, their adult teeth may form with a yellow or green tinge.
These are many factors that tend to make our teeth change over the years, so if you feel that you would like a more whiter brighter refreshed confidence smile then YES this is for you and we would be happy to book you a consultation to talk about how we put a smile back on your face.
6. How long does the treatment take?
The treatment itself takes less than 1 hour, however prior to carrying out the treatment you will have a consultation with one of our professional qualified whitening technicians to make sure that you are suitable for laser teeth whitening, and to explain the whole procedure. We will also ask you to sign a laser teeth whitening consent form to confirm that you have fully understood the procedure and are happy to proceed. In total the whole treatment including a consultation should take no longer than 1 hour.
7. Can you whiten crowns, caps and veneers?
Laser teeth whitening treatment cannot change the colour of new crowns, veneers or fillings. If it's an old crown or veneers, the treatment may take them back to their original colour, however they cannot lift any whiter.
8. How often can I have laser teeth whitening done?
Smile with Confidence does offer top-up treatments at a reduced price and you can have these as early as 6 months after if you wish to keep that gleaming white dazzling smile, but generally we say when you feel you want it re done we would then be happy to arrange an appointment to carry out a top up treatment for you.
9. Is there anything I should know before the treatment?
Smile with confidence advise not to clean your teeth just before the treatment as this acts as a barrier and can stop the product from activating, we advise that you should not clean your teeth for up to 5 hours before we carry out the treatment as your results may be affected.
10. Will laser teeth whitening treatment damage my tooth enamel?
Tooth enamel is NOT damaged or removed during the laser teeth whitening procedure. The whitening agent is a powerful oxidizer that removes small bits of stain and debris that slowly builds up between the enamel rods, this along side with the smile with confidence latest up to date UV laser lamp penetrates the rids of the teeth and removes any build-up of discolouration without damaging or removing the tooth’s enamel.
11. Should I have a check up and get my teeth cleaned at the dentist first?
You can have your teeth cleaned at the dentist a few days before or after the whitening treatment. If you decide you are going to have your teeth cleaned at the dentist or visit the hygienist we would say to visit before the treatment would be better, as they can remove any plaque or dark stain- age from in-between the teeth that way we can achieve a better result, this is only strictly for those who feel they need a trip to the dentist.

Our result is far superior and safer than the over the counter or home whitening products and will not affect or damage the enamel of the tooth in any way as other methods tend to over time. Other products used tend to take longer to achieve a change in colour and the process can be too abrasive and damage the enamel of the tooth which is something we would not advice to do. Some ingredients in these other products can tend to cause ulcers if not used properly, so why not leave it in the hands of an expert who can help you achieve the confident smile you want, without the fuss of strips and gum shields over-night, try our new safer guaranteed up to date effective treatment.
